On 27th May,2027, HELSI proudly hosted a Visual Arts Competition to commemorate Children’s Day 2025. The event brought together over 50 students from diverse schools, providing a platform for young people to express themselves and advocate for social change.

Theme: “My Rights, My Voice”
The competition’s theme encouraged participants to explore critical issues such as human rights, gender equality, peace, education, and environmental responsibility through art. Under the guidance of HELSI’s Creative Director, students reflected on real-life challenges in their communities and proposed solutions through their artwork.
Celebrating Creativity and Activism
The competition showcased exceptional talent and creativity, with artworks addressing powerful themes like girl-child education, gender-based violence, and unity in nation-building. Beyond the art itself, the competition served as a capacity-building platform, teaching participants to translate ideas into visual stories and present their work confidently.
Winners and Next Steps
The top entries were celebrated, and winners received educational materials. The winning artworks will now be part of HELSI’s mobile exhibition, used in future advocacy campaigns and community outreaches.
Empowering Young Minds
The Visual Arts Competition reinforced HELSI’s commitment to amplifying children’s voices and promoting social responsibility. By merging art with activism, we inspired young minds to become ambassadors for peace, equity, and justice, paving the way for a generation that creates positive change.
